This is my fanzine project for music history class. It is a collection of collages, self made art and photos I've taken, along with quotes and playlists. For this project, I'm using communication skills because I'm utilizing art and poetry to communicate common feelings to any audience. I'm proud of this project because I've put a lot of myself into it. My interests, feelings, and my own art. I developed my 21st century skills by talking to classmates and teachers to ensure that my zine is conveying the message I want it to. I'm most proud of letting loose on this project, and really putting my love into it so far. I haven't been restrained by rubrics or judgement, I'm just making something I'm proud of. The most difficult part of working on this has been the short classroom hours. I feel like I don't have enough time in class to make all the progress I want to. I can and will improve upon this project by adding more quotes, interesting and relatable pages, and considering peer feedback. This relates to many aspects of learning in my music history class, as zines are a huge part of punk and music culture. I can apply this to future learning by practicing my art and organizational skills, and creating something that's appealing both in it's message, and aesthetically.
